About Greenwood Permaculture Beekeeping

Greenwood Permaculture, based in the Northern Rivers of NSW, does all things bees.

We have a deep love for bees and the natural environment, and understand the vital role they play in helping to maintain healthy ecosystems. To keep bees and to learn from their complex organisation is of the highest privilege that we don’t, for a minute take for granted.

Spike is the heart of Greenwood Permaculture, and has been sharing life with bees since 2018.

Our small-scale beekeeping methods ensure our bees' health and well-being come first. We cold extract honey only when there's excess, always ensuring our bees have enough to thrive. We also sell pure bees wax and established colonies.

We are bee colony relocation specialists. Often wild bee colonies can set up home in the walls or ceilings of houses. We can safely remove the bees and relocate them, caring for them so they continue to thrive.

The favorite part of our work is sharing our knowledge and experience with other people through mentorship and hive maintenance. We love to involve the whole household including children!

Committed to permaculture, we prioritise:

Earth care, People care, and Fair share.

If our practices don't align with these ethics, we adapt.

Thank you for supporting local and sustainable beekeeping! Your support helps sustain our local ecosystem.
